Silver Award
So you missed out on Bronze and want a piece of the action? You managed the Bronze and want the adventure to continue? Well you can...
The Silver award has been designed to commence straight after the Bronze award is fully completed. Students work on their sections during the majority of year 10. Training is then completed during an expedition weekend to ensure the students have the skills to actually go on and complete the Gold award should they choose to do so. A practice expedition is undertaken in July and then the qualifying expedition is completed at the start of year 11. This allows the students to complete sections in their own time whilst preparing for their GCSE's. There is no reason why students should not get their award by the end of the first term of year 11. Once they turn 16, Gold awaits them!
